Somethings just don't change!!!
Today we talk about liberation of the girl child. But are we ready to flush the gender bias out of their minds first??? Even if we are, will the people around allow us to do so? My father gets annoyed when he sees Barkha Dutt on television. He says he does not like her. He would prefer Rajdeep Sardesai to her any day. I really dont understand why. She is equally capable. My Mother once quoted about Kiran Bedi, 'She could reach so far because her husband was supportive.' It makes me wonder, why ,in the 21st century too, we still have to depend on males for taking important decisions. 'Girls are not supposed to be ambitious' If she is ambitious, she is tagged to be dominating. I don't understand the connection here. Why aren't we applauded for striking the right balance between family and work? How many husbands help their wives at home? They say doing the household work is degrading, yet they want to know and more importantly they want to criticise whatever is cooked for dinner! When these guys want to marry they would not accept anything less than a girl who has a clean record; irrespective of what they have done in their past lives. Hypocrites!!! In an arrange marriage the girl has no say. She has to do many 'tray holding drills' till she gets 'selected'. As if it is a reality show called 'The Best Possible Girl for The Best Groom on The Earth. Some say getting a girl married is easy, you leave her to her destiny. But getting a boy married is the most difficult task on the earth. What if the 'wrong girl' comes into the family? Yeah yeah... get your girl married and the burden is off your shoulders! One of the reasons why female foeticide and infanticide does not stop. How much ever we talk about doing away with gender bias, we cant. The reason being it is in the Indian mentality. More than the mentality it is deeply rooted in the Indian Patriarchal Society. However I m blessed that my parents have not given me anything less than they have given to my brother. But when I see the society as a whole, the difference still persists.

I still wonder why people fret over gender bias? Writing, deliberating, discussing it makes no sense. It is never going to end. Sexy young females will always be preferred over middle aged men for 'front office' jobs. :D............
On a serious note, we should let education do its wonders. Till then the author of above post can revel in the fact that women have to pay less taxes in this country, enjoy reservations as far as seats in educational institutes are concerned and that there are guys out there who judge women based on their IQ (and of course their looks*) rather than 'tray holding' skills.
*I would be blatantly lying if I skipped that. :D
I agree with the author of this blog .....but that is incoorect in in certain parts the boys girls alwaz think in the way that girls are alwaz getting low rites they r alwaz in danger blah blah blah !!!!!!!!!!!!wat so ever ........my point is that see the mentality of the people as the mentality of the people is childish it is not going to be changed anyways
authors like u and me cum along write some thing .think it could change something in the environment of the but is it right ........no ways i dnt feel so ....even today a boy or a man is also has to take up with cooking and his house hold work .........some lazy men live on their wifes ......some lazy wifes live on their husbands money .wats the point in making the thing of supportive ness
god made two human being man and woman ....to help each other not to crush each other in any field......not to destruct the growth of mankind fighting on genders.who will do this and who will do that .........it something like a couple saying to each other i wont make food u jst drink water and the man says i wnt pay the water bills for u so u eat uncooked food ......we r getting equal lifes .we r the one who make the issuesof support and unsupport ..if kiran bedi has came forward her husband was shud take duty of supporting her in every aspect ...then y the hell he has married to her ? so i dnt alwaz men are wrong or woman are wrong it the we people how we take the every shot of life ......alwaz girls looksgr8(they r babes and hot ) that is their natural some use it ..some remains like a butter fly .......to their beauty....
one more thing about the marraige this is never dependent on age or the century this is alwz to find someone or get someone which will be good in our first look ........marraige turns out wrong becoz u get bored wit certain human being and vice a versa .marraige is the thing were both the human beings has to sacrifice at a certain level today boys shud learn cooking(hey boys really cook well ...if u ndt think so i will treat u )now a days girls knw to cook but they alwaz qurrel about the term 21st century "we r the girls of 21st century,we wsnt freedom to live ,we want this and that blah blah blah!!!!!!!!!!"this has given power to men(boys like who take it positively........i like my own food which is mainly cooked by myself ) so there is no point of all the gender ..........
